I knew there were chicks in the burrow, as the male, shown here, was coming in with dragonflies, passing them off to his mate who would momentarily disappear into the burrow where I assumed she was feeding her chicks. Today, for the first time, I saw one shy chick poke it’s head out of the nest. I can’t wait to see how many there are.
