Dozens of hybrids between the Lady (Orchis purpurea) and the Monkey (Orchis simia) orchid species also often called the ‘Lankey’ orchid (Orchis × angusticruris) and in some articles also named ‘Lonkey’. Surprisingly scarce number of parents though. Few Monkey orchids – many passed their prime; and we couldn’t really spot the Lady.
