former Arnott's biscuits factory at Homebush with original logo and motto very prominent despite the factory ceasing production in 1997.
Right up to closure the factory had a rail siding and until the early 1990's a lot of product was shipped out by rail.
Arnott's also had its 'own' flour mill directly north of the factory called White Rose adjacent to North Strathfield railway station and it was shunted multiple times a week.
Macchina Naturale (Natural Machine) by David Boyer is a large kinetic wind sculpture reminiscent of a whimsical machine from a bygone era. Industrial elements blend with an organic tree-like form to create an amalgamation of the man-made and natural worlds. With their canopy of motion, light, and shadow, large horizontal paddle wheels create a contemplative Zen-like space. As our ecosystems are increasingly under assault, may this environmentally interactive sculpture be a reminder of our need to work with, rather than against, nature.
