Seen at the Cincinnati Art Museum while visiting the "Burning Man" exhibit a while back. Caretakers wipe it clean every week or so. Makes one stop and examine the postings. A lot to take in...from funny to very serious. Thought provoking.

If you were a fan of the TV series "MASH", you might have noticed that Korea was always freezing cold - except when it was sweltering hot.. A lot like Texas that way..
I usually don’t think of Dad as a veteran, I think of him as a Dad. A hard-working, devoted father and family man who did whatever he had to to take care of his wife and kids. But he was a veteran. A US Marine with a Good Conduct Medal, a World War II Victory Medal, a Korean Theater Ribbon, and a Presidential Unit Citation (with star) for the fire that his unit endured during the Inchon Landing..
But one of the lessons he learned and passed on was that once you sign the dotted line, your life is not your own. The Marines, or any other branch of the Service will use you, your strength, and your very life as they see fit.
As Michael Berry says, that’s a hell of a thing to give up voluntarily. We owe veterans an awful lot more than we give them.
In this picture me and my grandfather are golfing at Hawksnest in Wooster OH. The reason I chose this picture is because the beauty of the landscapes, and my grandfather. Nature is something that i love, and always can take a minute to stop and enjoy. This characterization allows me to apply it to life, and helps me realize that sometimes you just need to stop and enjoy the little things in life. the significance behind my grandfather is a role model. Although i have my parents in my life they didn't quite raise me nor teach me the life lessons that have shaped me into the man i am today. My grandparents have shown me lessons in life, and to a degree shown me to appreciate everything that i have around me.
I believed in you.
You believed in you.
A horse called 'Tommy' believed in you.
I'm proud of you little cowgirl
Watching your children grow up is an amazing thing.
They grow up quick.
It makes me remember every one of those times my grandmother or someone else said 'look how much you've grown.'
You really come to understand that when you watch your own children grow up.
I enjoy taking them with me when I go out to shoot the street.
I call them my 'Canaries in the Coal Mine' because when I go out with them I don't take so many risks...
I keep it to the better neighborhoods at better times.
Having children really changed me.
This is my oldest daughter.
I remember the day that she was born and thinking 'I am a father.'
Before having kids I lived a much different life... filled with risk and adventure... motorcycles and skydiving... stupidity and impulsivity... airplanes and misadventures of a hundred sorts.
I knew that flying airplanes under bridges on the Mississippi River wasn't something I should be doing any more.
Or flying down the Dan Ryan Expressway at a hundred and thirty miles an hour on my motorcycle late at night.
Or taking a blimp for a joyride after my buddies and I have been partying.
I swear I wouldn't change it for a thing.
Sometimes I think that having kids saved my life.
You might not believe it but they've really mellowed me out.
I've still got the love of adrenaline in my heart...
and when they're all grown up and they've got a good start on their lives I've got some plans.
But for now I'm just really enjoying being their father.
And watching them grow in all sorts of ways.
