Lovell's Tea Room was owned by Jack Lovell, a disabled ex-serviceman who started out with half a crown and a table. It was on this spot from 1923 to 1932 when it relocated.

Looking through the window I wiped the ice off before take-off. Mid winter is South Otago with feezing fog over Lovell's Flat and in the distance The Nuggets Headland.

The old main shopping district in Gary is now all demolished. There were so many iconic stores that once were established in the old Broadway street. Old Gary is better then new.
