Only the male individuals are white-fronted, the female ones are brown only (dimorphism) like in this picture.
The lemur enclosure of this zoo consists of an island with some greater tree population (e.g. Alder trees) to grant numerous climbing opportunities to the animals to act out somewhat of their natural behaviour.
For visitors and photographers it gets more difficult to detect the animal in the treetops. Also the autofocus functionality is faulted sometimes by the amount of branches and leaves.
In Giappone non è difficile incontrare diversi esemplari di Macaca fuscata, o Macaco giapponese, scimmia diffusa nelle foreste giapponesi. In alcuni luoghi le scimmie sono abituate alla presenza dell’uomo, lasciandosi così avvicinare parecchio. È sempre bene però non avvicinarsi troppo e non disturbare le scimmie, perché sono pur sempre animali selvatici con un comportamento imprevedibile in quanto tali.
