A New Operation?

Not exactly.

Pictured here are three former Trinity Railway Express RDCs in a string of twelve riding the back of an eastbound BNSF manifest through Mendota, IL.

While this is not a new service serving the Amtrak station here, ten of these cars are destined for Vermont, where they will be used in a new operation there. The other two will go to Portland, OR.
