With Merseyrail class 507016 with a Southport to Hunts Cross service.

The note with this Neil Reston Collection photo says it was a Sunday with the Glasgow-bound train running wrong line. The shot looks in the Liverpool Exchange direction. The footbridge is still in place but the signal box was lost mid 1990's. The Station is now a part of the Merseyrail Network with the line severed at Ormskirk
