Sunday 5th March 2023 saw a rare occurrence of a daytime delivery of 2x Merseyrail class 777s (777012, 777016) seen crossing over into Kirkdale Depot working 6Q77 1422 Crewe C.S. to Kirkdale C.S.
With Merseyrail class 507016 with a Southport to Hunts Cross service.
Full consists was, (20142, 20189, 43468 and 43480) with 777012, 016
