One of the unfortunate surprises about visiting Iceland was the chaos that was Keflavik Airport. Our flight was delayed, so we ended up arriving a few hours late. And then...where were our bags? Not just our bags, but many of our fellow passengers were missing their bags.
Eventually, my husband shooed me out to meet the rest of our workshop group. He decided to file a lost bag claim, but on a whim? out of desperation? scant hope? he took one more pass around baggage claim. He looked at the over-sized claim area and There. Were. Our. Bags. And many others from our flight. While we were glad to get our bags, this needlessly delayed our group by several hours.
Note - our bags were in no way over-sized, nor were our fellow passengers' bags.
Two weeks later, Iceland Air called to get follow up on our bags. Needless to say, my husband had a nice long conversation about what good customer service is all about.
All around Keflavik Airport are these little feedback kiosks. Guess which button I pressed? And how many times?
Happy (or not, haha) Whimsical Wednesday!
