It is interesting just how far the New York-based, JetBlue has come along... The carrier was founded in 1998 with services commencing in 2000 with a fleet of Airbus A320s. The company has expanded rapidly with 6 operating bases, the largest being New York-JFK. The carrier expanded into the premium transcontinental market in 2014 with its 'Mint' Business Class product, with the first long-haul international flights commencing in 2021.
For the best part of over a decade since the carrier was founded, the airline primarily provided low fares on flights to and from New York-JFK, but got into competing on the premium transcontinental market from New York to either Los Angeles or San Francisco which has been dominated by American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines.
In June 2023, JetBlue unveiled their newest livery, the Eurowhite with blue underbelly and different pattern tailwind is pretty much done away in favour of an all-over blue colour scheme with much more bolder tailfin designs extended beyond the vertical stabiliser to the rear fuselage. The new livery is very bold and striking... So far, just one Airbus A321 carries the new livery.
Currently, JetBlue operates 219 Airbus A320 family aircraft, which includes 130 Airbus A320s, 63 Airbus A321s, 19 Airbus A321neos and 7 Airbus A321LRs. JetBlue have 34 Airbus A321neos, 7 Airbus A321LRs and 13 Airbus A321XLRs on-order.
November Nine Three Seven Juliet Bravo is one of 63 Airbus A321s operated by JetBlue, delivered new to the carrier on 28th August 2014 and she is powered by 2 International AeroEngines IAE V2533-A5 engines. Previously carrying Prism tail design, since April 2023 now carries Ribbons tail design.
