The 3 bandidos trickled around the corner and hid behind the fence, peeping in at Pat and the old lady, apparently having tea, what!?
Betty: Oh but you must try the chocolate cake before you leave.
Pat: *Groaning* You should have presented that first! I'm full of biscuits and cookies now.
Betty: Well dear, it's a tradition to eat dry biscuits first. Now be a good girl and sit down and have a taste.
--
"With eyes bulging and ears pricked up, the 3 girs inhaled the scene in front of them."
Maggie: *Whispering* That little traitor. She's eating all our booty. Let's jump in, I'm starving.
Patch: *Whispering* Hold. The beldame might be keeping her hostage, feeding her properly before she kills her.
Polly: *Whispering* Yes, like the gingerbread witch. Poor Pat.
--
Pat: Mm-mm-mm! That was delicious miss Betty! Can I have the recipe? And some more lemonade please?
Betty: I'm so delighted! The Barbie next door only eats lettuce and drinks Espresso coffee, so tiring.
Pat: Oh!? You should invite a Sindy then. Boy can she eat!
--
Patch: That's it! We're going in! Raaaaaahhhh!!
-- And there were much rejoicing--
(Well, at least after the initial commotion and partial strangling of Pat- the traitor.)
The End!
And so the plan was set into motion. Polly, Patch and Maggie snuck behind the house of the target, while the dolled up Pat knocked on the front door.
Patch: Not yet. *Holding Maggie back.* Wait for the signal.
Maggie: Oh, right.
Polly: Is the window really open? Can you see?
Maggie: Yes there's a crack. We're good to go.
Patch: Wait for it...... wait for it... any minute now...
"One minute turned into five. Five turned into ten excruciating minutes and still no signal from Pat."
Polly: Perhaps the old lady killed her?
Patch: Don't be silly.
Maggie: What kind of old lady are we talking about? Is she a Sindy, Barbie, clone, bootleg or what?
Patch: A Betty I think... old as the street. Like 40 at least.
Maggie: Uh oh!
Polly: Uh oh what?
Maggie: A Betty count as a clone and they are vicious! Pat's a wet spot by now. Or cast in a dungeon.
Patch: That does it! We're going around to check! Safety off girls!
Later that day...
Patch: Alright Three Pees and Maggie, we're dressed and...
Maggie: *Giggle!!* Three pees!
Patch: Ahem, order in the court. Three.. Pees stands for Patch, Polly and Pat don't you know. Where was I?
Polly: We're dressed and something...
Maggie: You should consider renaming the group. Juz saying.
Pat: Why do I have to ring the doorbell?
Patch: You look the sweetest with your little red riding hood. The old beldame will open the door, you stall her while the rest of us sneak in the back, break in and pinch the cookies.
Pat: Why don't I just ask her to give us some?
Polly: What's the fun in that?
Maggie: No fun that's what. Let's get getting while the getting is good three pees!
Patch: What Magpie said, let's roll!

Patch, Polly and Pat are all "Patch dolls", Sindy's little sister from the 60s.
Maggie is a custom Sindy made by me. I'm trying out a new smaller body that I think works splendidly.

Patch and Maggie are wearing Action Jackson outfits. A bit of a squeeze even for them by Jove!
ESA’s new class of astronauts is ready to hop on their next adventure, and their class name says it all: the Hoppers.
On 22 April, the new ESA astronauts Sophie Adenot, Pablo Álvarez Fernández, Rosemary Coogan, Raphaël Liégeois, Marco Sieber and Australian Space Agency astronaut Katherine Bennell-Pegg graduated from their one-year basic astronaut training at ESA’s European Astronaut Centre in Cologne, Germany.
After completing an intense year of training, they have now received their certification, marking their official transition into fully-fledged astronauts eligible for spaceflight.
In keeping with tradition, the previous ESA astronaut class picked the name from a list of suggestions given by the new class.
The name ‘Hoppers’ refers to the ambition of the new astronauts to hop in low gravity, beginning with missions to the International Space Station and eventually venturing to explore the Moon.
The visual, created by ESA graphic designer Karen Lochtenberg, is in the shape of a space hopper, the bouncy balloon toy familiar to many from their childhood, often connected with the image of a playful alien.
The six ESA astronauts together with the Australian Space Agency astronaut are represented bouncing on their own space hopper in the colour of their respective national flag. During training, it's said that the newcomers often improvised their own set of rules. Similarly, they now bounce through the patch with energy, crossing its borders freely. Among them, the Australian space hopper follows her own path, flipping upside down.
The 12 white stars on the patch represent the 12 members of the astronaut reserve who are also part of the ESA astronaut class of 2022, standing ready to hop into basic training when a future flight opportunity arises.
The backdrop features the seven windows of the European-built Cupola of the International Space Station, offering a glimpse of the next destination for our new astronauts. Moreover, it establishes a connection between the new class and their predecessors, the Shenanigans from the ESA class of 2009, whose class patch also features the iconic Cupola in the background.
