Shot in a small Indian settlement in the mountains during the celebration of Holi. Usually I like CROSS - pictures in diffused light of a dim day - slightly cool blue tones, normal daylight has a slightly warm shade of green or yellow..
but the festival of the arrival of spring in India in March- late February is BRIGHT by default !
So I decided to photograph on slides in bright sunlight... the more light - the more intense the color!
Well, and the extreme unconditional contrast, as it seems to me, is justified by the plot itself, since this day marks the victory of good over evil - less halftones !
The maximalism of the struggle and all that )

Kingston [#0088014]

Pretty well expired 400F, shot at box speed and developed in an accidentally undiluted CineStill D9 for ~7.5 minutes in panic.

If I were to ever make this mistake again I'd go for the 1:1 dilution's timing (9:30) and assume you'd get the contrast boost of a +1 push, but probably not developing the shadows as much as the recommended process.

I'm reluctant to experiment much with E6 dev given the cost and relative rarity of diverse stocks, but the impression I get about D9 is it's close to self-exhausting for a first developer and the time/dilution is really more for contrast and temperature control than exposure/push.

Compared to the Reflex LAb 100R that was in the same tank though, feeling like I'll shoot the next roll from this batch at EI 200.
