701,GM38,705 prepare to load 3152 grain train at Peake on the Pinnaroo line on 2-6-11. By mid 2015 the line had closed with 701 also getting the Orange paint scheme by then. A year later all 3 locos had been stored. By 2023 both 700's had been preserved and GM38 was still stored at Dry Creek

Ran as a dedicated train, 701,GM38,705 have just set up to load 3152 grain train at Peake, located about 50kms from Tailem Bend on the Pinnaroo line on 2-6-11

The train is seen through one of the tear windows of the heritage listed station masters house.
A story to go with this is the station master died in the house in the early 1990's during a heat wave and was not found for a week later. He had to be cut from the floor which is still visible in one of the floors
