Dana at the annual Cockington Village Fayre. Cockington is just outside Torquay and the star of the summer season at Torquay's theatre traditionally opened the fair and then stayed on to chat to the public, pose for photographs and sign autographs. I did the 'usual' portrait shot of Dana but much preferred this candid profile shot.

Dana (born Rosemary Brown) was a famous singer at this time, she became a household name when shot to fame at the age of 19 by winning the Eurovision Song Contest with 'All Kinds of Everything' in 1970.
