The French Delage company was famous for their luxury limousines and cabriolets from the top segment.
Besides factory built bodies Delage cars were very popular among various independent coach builders like Letourneur & Marchand, Figoni & Falaschi, Ateliers Henry Chapron and Carrosserie Labourdette.
This body was styled and built on a Delage D6 chassis by Carrosserie Letourneur et Marchand, Neuilly-sur-Seine. This French coachwork company was active from 1905 to 1960.
This Delage D6 was shown at the 1936 Salon de Paris for the 1937 Delage model collection.
This D6 could be a type D6-60, D6-70 or a D6-80 depending on engine size.
Note the special shape of the rear side window. This is often used at designs by Letourneur & Marchand.
