Shrimp boats rest quietly along the docks of Shem Creek in Charleston, South Carolina, their tall masts and colorful nets silhouetted against a clear blue sky. The peaceful waters and charming coastal backdrop capture the timeless essence of this working waterfront and beloved Lowcountry destination.

Three ferries are also in this photograph. Two are clearly visible; a third is faintly visible in the distant horizon.
