De hoofdpersoon van de nieuwe dystopische roman van Olga Pticeva leeft in een land waar de eeuwige winter is afgekondigd. Tweehonderd dagen sneeuwt het al, het voedsel is op de bon, en andersdenkenden worden naar vriescellen gestuurd. Nyuta kan het land niet uit, omdat de Koudepartij haar nu nodig heeft: het is noodzakelijk om zo snel mogelijk vorstbestendige planten te ontwikkelen.
In de stad gebeuren er ondertussen vreemde dingen. Te midden van sneeuwhopen bloeien gele narcissen. De lokale autoriteiten zijn ervan overtuigd dat de oppositie hieraan schuldig is, want juist de oppositie wil de situatie destabiliseren.

Nothing deep and meaningful for today. Just a pleasant shot of springtime along the canal. We could have walked forever this morning. At this time of year it's interesting the watch the speed of nature. Some trees have opened their leaves whilst others are still dormant but give it another week and all the trees will have opened their leaves. If you neglect to watch nature on a daily basis at the moment you'll entirely miss the show.
