Terwijl het water van de Douro rustig door het dal stroomt dreunt met veel geweld de CP 1429 langs Aregos. IR 861 is vanuit Porto vertrokken en bestaat deze dag, zoals bijna altijd, uit drie rijtuigen. Een makkie voor de sterke diesel die in 2024 alweer 55 jaar oud was, waar de achterste rijtuigen bouwjaren 1948 en 1949 hebben.
