Bethel Methodist Church, Carroll County, Mississippi. I'm not sure if this is the tradition in any other Carroll County cemetery, but in Bethel Cemetery, several families build small houses over the graves of their loved ones. The graves of my grandfather, Samuel Edward Herbert, and my grandmother Eula Mae Ricks Herbert, are sheltered by this house.
