This church is across the street from the Old English Cemetery where Dona and I were exploring. The Old English Cemetery is a very old cemetery that dates back to the 1700s. As Dona and I stood in the cemetery looking at the graves, this church began to chime the hour. It startled Dona. A couple of seconds after this church started chiming, another church a street or so over began chiming the hour. And then another church a little further away began. The whole experience was surreal. But, in a wonderful way. All the chimes were done with real bells. The clarity of the tones was amazing. And, I need to mention that this cemetery and the churches are all located in the heart of downtown Salisbury, NC. Quite an incredibly historic city.

Something I don't really do a lot of is Black and White. Not that I think it's over done or anything, I just think like a lot of things, moderation is the key. The texture in the Bell Chimes that can be found at Missouri Botanical Garden are bronze. The texture from that was perfect in the early light for this to be B&W. Since I don't do a whole lot of B&W, any suggestions or comments are welcomed and appreciated. Enjoy!
