Late winter capture of three adult trumpeter swans reposing on the upper Mississippi River.. Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park, central Minnesota.
Little story to share on this one: So broad-winged hawk came along and posed nicely in my yard. Then (as luck would have it) when he-or-she was about to turn around, large crow landed nearby. So, guess what, crow proceeded to approach hawk.. who quickly took flight.. with crow in hot pursuit. Both departing too fast for me to capture another frame ~ oh well!
The Ring-billed Gull (Larus delawarensis) is a medium-sized birds with a farily short, slim bill. When the gull perches, its long, slender wings extend well past its square-tipped tail. In flight, the birds move lightly on easy flasps of their fairly slender wings.
