C’est donc le 10 avril 2012, 100 ans après l’escale à Cherbourg, que La Cité de la Mer a ouvert un nouveau parcours permanent dédié au légendaire paquebot mais aussi à l’émigration depuis l’Europe vers les Amériques. En 2020, en partenariat avec les sociétés américaines E/M Group & RMS Titanic inc, près de 50 objets remontés du champ de débris entourant l’épave à 3800m de profondeur, seront installés dans l’exposition « Des objets du
Titanic nous racontent… ».
2012 marked the centenary of the sinking of the Titanic.
It was therefore on April 10, 2012, 100 years after the stopover in Cherbourg, that La Cité de la Mer opened a new permanent route dedicated to the legendary liner but also to emigration from Europe to the Americas.
