House Sparrow at Pat Bay, BC
The House Sparrow (Passer domesticus) is an urban and agricultural pest that was introduced to North America in the New York area. It has made steady progress westward, arriving in BC around 1898.
I stopped by my favorite Candy Store today. Country Bee Honey Farm 6440 W Saanich Rd, Saanichton BC, Saanich Peninsula Honey.
Stopped by for a hot cup of coffee, and my honey filled up.
Here is a shot of me in my late 20s Riding The Bull in Gilley's, the famous honky-tonk bar and nightclub in Pasadena, Texas. Founded in 1971 by Mickey Gilley and Sherwood Cryer, it quickly became known for its size, live music, and the iconic mechanical bull. Unfortunately, the original club was destroyed by fire in 1990.
After riding the Bull, I walked like Roy Rogers and talked like Dale Evans for a month after that ride.
Rolling it back to the 60's - 70's an old photo I found in my archives of Sidney Volunteer Fire Departments 94 at Sidney Day's Parade.
The disco craze took the world by storm in the 1970s. Authentic 70s disco outfits. Style: known as “angel flights” and “loon [balloon] pants,” bell-bottoms worked for every look, from the casual to the upper echelons.
I am on the left, and my buddy Eric is on the right. We are all dressed up to take the ladies out on Grad Night.
