The Corbridge Apple Tree Wassail of January 2022 with the singing led by the wonderful voices of George Unthank and Charlie Chomse. The event is designed to promote a healthy harvest of apples in the year to come. In this case, also a celebration to thank everyone involved in donating, picking and helping to process apples to produce the now sold out 2021 stocks of Corbridge Lightly Sparkling Apple Juice. With £2,240 raised for local charities in a Corbridge Community Partnership project led by John Maude and others - with Hadrian Border Brewery producing some 1400 cans at cost price. The proceeds to be shared between Charlotte Straker and the Corbridge Youth Initiative…and plans to do it all over again this autumn. Hopefully with even more apples donated leading to larger stocks of delicious Corbridge apple juice.

The Keelers - Shrewsbury Folk Festival 2013

The Keelers told us they had been guests at early folk festivals in Coleham. Now they're back with Alan Fitzsimmons, Jim Magheean, Peter Wood and George Unthank. They had to sing through the power cut, too.
