Eine der bekanntesten Sehenswürdigkeiten Japans ist natürlich die Burg Himeji, welche wir an einem wunderbar klaren Dezembertag besuchen konnten. Außerhalb der Hauptreisezeiten hält sich der Besucherandrang zum Glück in Grenzen, dazu ist die Burg recht bequem von der Bahnstation fußläufig erreichbar.
