Pode atingir até 90 cm de comprimento, sendo a maior parte correspondente à cauda. Alimenta-se de insetos, frutos e pequenos vertebrados. É um excelente trepador de árvores e rochas, mas também se esconde em buracos ou muros secos.
The sardar (Ibericus) is a robust, green lizard that belongs to the Lacertidae family. It is endemic to southern Europe, especially the Iberian Peninsula. It can reach up to 90 cm in length, most of which is the tail. It feeds on insects, fruit and small vertebrates. It is an excellent climber of trees and rocks, but also hides in holes or dry walls.
