Another antique camera from my collection, the little Vest Pocket Kodak Model B (1925-1934)
These tiny folding bed cameras had a unique feature - the "Autographic Back," perhaps the first primitive version of a data-back! There was a slot in the back of the camera, that could be opened by the photographer, to allow them to write the date of exposure on the back of the film.
this from CameraWiki:-
"`Autographic film and cameras, Eastman Kodak products from 1914 onward, allowed the photographer to enter his or her own notes onto the negative, rather like an early data back. Comments are written with a stylus in a window in the camera back, onto the paper backing of the film, which incorporates a carbon-paper. This leaves the backing slightly translucent where the stylus passed. The writing window is then exposed to the daylight and the inscription burned onto the negative.".

I acquired a No. 2A, Brownie Camera Model B several years ago at an estate sale. I paid $12 for this camera but at the time I didn't realize that it shot obsolete 116 film. It sat in a cabinet collecting dust until recently when I discovered Film For Classics filmforclassics.com/ during an online search for 116 film. FFC distributes their product through various online retailers and I bought a roll of their 116 HP5+ from Blue Moon Camera, bluemooncamera.com/.
FFCs respools modern film in several obsolete formats, to include 116, 616, 127, and 828 and I bought this roll to run through my No. 2A Brownie. Overall I am pleased with the results from this first roll of film. This picture is of my wife, as we were out inspecting our pastures following a severe winter storm at our place in Northeast, KS. I developed this roll with HC110 Dilution B.
On the downside, the film from FFC is pricey, and I also had some light leaks on this roll of film, probably due to the roll coming unraveled after finishing it. The next time I run film through this camera I will ensure that I download the film in a dark room.

Made in Germany between 1937 and 1939 it was the first folding Retina 1 camera to have its shutter release positioned on the top plate. Fitted with an uncoated f3.5 Kodak Anastigmat Ektar lens and a 9 speed Compur Rapid shutter, it was compact, solid, uncomplicated and very well made.
Sold by the famous Walter Talbot camera shop in Berlin, this camera has their gold logo clearly impressed into the leather covering the back of the camera.
This was originally a German government camera used at a border crossing. An official TOLLSTATION stamp imprinted on the inside of its leather carrying case indicates this fact.
Made in Germany and sold in Berlin to a Nazi government agency immediately before World War 2, one wonders how and when it came to the UK, and how it came to find itself in a charity shop in 2024.
