10 Years Ago: Tampa Bay Office Had World's Best Microsoft /Office / Windows Views - IMRAN™
I can't believe I did not get a chance to post this unedited no filter video from my then brand new WindowsPhone Lumia 1020. It had the world's best camera on any cellphone at that time. Microsoft's Tampa Bay office also had the absolutely best views of any office I have ever had. For someone who loves the ocean & sea, flying & planes, waterfront living & expansive views. this was beyond compare.
With beautiful over the water final approaches of gorgeous airliners into the clearly visible Tampa International Airport to the right, I would likely just sit there all day watching planes land and take off. With the wide expanse of Tampa Bay visible on both sides of the causeways, I would just soak in the seaside scenery. There were surprisingly no boats or yachts out at this time, or that would be another thing I would just sit and watch. Good thing I work from home and get work done!
But, kidding aside, with so few people making use of offices anymore, companies have been cutting back on commercial real estate. Even before the pandemic, my colleagues and I were even more productive & impactful working from home. After the pandemic the pace of tech to cater to work from home users went supersonic,
The latest modern work technologies from Microsoft mean the workplace is anywhere we choose to make it. But, there were two offices I would have loved keeping window views from. They would be this one in Tampa, Florida, and the other being the awesome Times Square location in the heart of Manhattan, New York City.
I recorded this on September 10, 2013 and this was among the offices closed down in 2023. I would have loved going to this office from my Apollo Beach home by jetski but that never came to pass.

Talk About Boxed In! - IMRAN™
I saw a meme today about boomers and Gen X, and even millennials hanging on to boxes that their gadgets came in and don’t need to. What!? What go you mean I should throw out the boxes? Aren’t they meant to keep forever? 😂
I'm not even kidding. I have so many boxes my gadgets came in it’s not even funny. Heck, from the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 14Pro Max. Plus I LITERALLY only just today broke down boxes of Akai mini keyboards 2008 (both actually used more in 2022 than last 14 years)!
The Nikon D'image X 2005 can’t be found so the box goes out. The Nokia Lumia 1020 Windows Phone still works as a device - but the ugly box is going to recycling.
But iPhone boxes are too beautiful to throw out. Even though several of the phones were traded in I still have a working iPhone 4S. I even have PowerBook G3 & G4 and all 6 MacBook Pro boxes. Yes, those are still working devices - including mid-2010 through the latest MacBook Pro 2022 16” M1 Max.
Why were the boxes stacked away? You know, just in case. So what if I don't even have some of those devices any more who knows when the box is needed. 😂😂 Just kidding. It sometimes just takes time to get around to putting them out for recycling. Like maybe 20 years. 😂
