Delta Air Lines - McDonnell Douglas MD-88 - N972DL (53215/1824)
UPDATE (July 2022) - N972DL was delivered new to Delta Air Lines on March 3, 1991. It would be operated in passenger revenue service by the airline until May 31, 2020, when it was withdrawn from service. It would soon thereafter be placed into storage at Blytheville Arkansas International Airport (BYH / KBYH) from June 1, 2020 to March 29, 2021. From March 2021 to January 2022 it would be converted into an MD-88 Special Freighter by Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI), at Dothan Regional Airport (DHN / KDHN), Alabama. On April 29, 2021, N972DL was acquired by USA Jet Airlines. Upon completion of its conversion into an MD-88(SF), the aircraft was re-registered as N833US and entered operation with USA Jet Airlines on January 8, 2022.
