A culmination of wet and windy weather ensured the squirrels didn't come too close on this day. Photographed at British wildlife centre on a long lens.

I have two male tenrecs and Mattie is my oldest. He's almost 6 now and without a doubt, any one who knows the breed would instantly tell that Mattie is male. Male Tenrecs have very puffy eyes, which also milk if they smell females at this time of year. Both of my males have puffy eyes and a wide forehead and smaller nose.
Nevertheless when they are much younger, it's trickier to sex them and their DNA has to be sent to a lab in Europe to know for sure.
Mattie photographed indoors using natural light only.
Taken on the morning after a friend's wedding before heading back home to London. There were a herd of Alpaca's in a field next to the country house we were staying at. It was pouring with rain but they didnt care and I was besotted with them. It would have been rude not to pass some time with them, even if we all did get a bit damp.
