"Water rolls downhill and the hill don't need to be steep. Them's the good kind of turbidity." Say it with a wink.

Two porcelain figurines depciting personifications of Early April and the Neuse River, respectively, are seen here "kissing" one another: The owner of the two figurines is pressing together their adorable little faces.

Ah the Neuse River, delightful.

The day the city limits of Raleigh, North Carolina, expanded to include a segment of the Neuse River, the Neuse River instantly became the most wonderful thing in Raleigh, by a factor of a lot.

That day apparently happened in the early 21st century, according to the map accompanying this article.

In Raleigh the Neuse River's expression of its springtime condition has taken the form of a "Delight of Carolinians."
