Six construction cranes, working on the same single massive structure (the Washington State Convention Center Addition), all at the same time.

2023 EDIT: The Washington State Convention Center was later rebranded Seattle Convention Center, and this new building the "Summit," in 2022.

The giant construction site for the Washington State Convention Center expansion, yet again -- this time with a lot of snow in it.

I love this shot, as the snow largely obscures the fact that this is just a parking lot, overlooking I-5, a stretch of the Seattle skyline beyond.

And the sun sets on another year in the City.

(One of twelve shots I took while walking home from work during sunset in Seattle, nine of which I posted in a series on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.)

Okay, here's another photo from my dusk walk home from work. See the construction at the bottom of this frame, taken from Pine at Boren? Within two years, that will be the site of the Washington State Convention Center addition, the 11 floors of which will obscure the view of all these buildings from this vantage point. For now, though, see that tall, white building at center? That's the Hyatt Regency Seattle, opened just last month (December), at 520 feet and 45 floors now the tallest and largest hotel in the Pacific Northwest.

(Compare to this shot from April, taken from nearly the same spot, before the construction hole was dug.)

Hyatt Regency Hotel (2018, 520 ft, 45 floors), is about to finish up construction. It's set to be the largest and tallest hotel building in the Pacific Northwest.
