La petite Chevêche d'Athéna,
fuit les grands bois car c’est là que vit sa pire ennemie, sa cousine la hulotte, mais elle les fuit aussi pour des raisons physiologiques. Contrairement à ce que l’on pourrait penser, sa vue n’est pas très bonne et n’est pas adaptée à la vie nocturne, mais elle a une bonne ouïe. Son créneau à elle c’est le crépuscule ! Elle n’est pas dotée non plus d’un système d’ailes silencieuses qui lui permettrait de foncer sur ses proies sans se faire repérer.

fugge i grandi boschi perché è lì che vive il suo peggior nemico, il cugino fulvo, ma li fugge anche per ragioni fisiologiche. Contrariamente a quanto si potrebbe pensare, la sua vista non è molto buona e non è adatta alla vita notturna, ma ha un buon udito. La sua nicchia è il crepuscolo! Inoltre non possiede un sistema di ali silenziose che gli permetterebbero di precipitarsi verso la preda senza essere avvistato.
The little Owl of Athena,
flees the big woods because that is where its worst enemy lives, its cousin the tawny, but it also flees them for physiological reasons. Contrary to what one might think, her eyesight is not very good and is not suited to nightlife, but she has good hearing. Her niche is dusk!
