C'mon ladies! New shoes won't pay for themselves!
A musical component of my chilly "After Dark" project in the Brisbane CBD.

I drove past this gentleman while searching for a composition in this part of KC and after driving around a few streets, I knew I needed to go back. I pulled over and politely asked him I could take a picture. He obliged my street photography request. You probably won't be able to see it on a social media post but the details in the image are fascinating to me. I've done work for businesses (head shots), shot weddings, family portraits, and dabble in street photography and the more I do it the more I have come to enjoy it. There is something very special in capturing the human experience.
Swaddling her baby sibling a young barefoot girl appears to be comforting the brothers as a smartly dressed family walk past them on their way to school.

Clear contrast between the relatively wealthy family on the left and the five children on the right by the boxes. Curiously, the words on the boxes say they belong to the Yu family from the region of 四邑 in Guangdong province, and they are for the purpose of letter writing. So it seems the father earns his living by writing letters for illiterate people on the street.
The roped poles leaning against the wall are tools/apparatus of coolies. It was very popular view in 50/60s that coolies in the streets waited to be hired with them.
