These bears had their photos taken with painting of a vintage horse-drawn Mardi Gras float! A very special thing to see at the Mardi Gras Ball, as it is always under protection by the Krewe of Tiny Bears.
As the Tiny Teddy Bear Mardi Gras Ball is restricted to members and guests, we were lucky to be allowed to take photographs through the open pavilion for historical purposes. All tiny teddies partied hardy but drank responsibly.
(The tiny teddies are all 3 inches tall or less! SO fun to work with, and also very frustrating- just getting them to stand still for a photo is difficult!
(The tiny charcuterie board and scones were a gift from my dear friend, Christa- a perfectly grand surprize, just after I started working with miniatures! The wonderful King cakes were done for my by my nephew's wife, Sara! My sister gave me the tiny chandelier, which I totally adore! The miniature Mardi Gras float painting was done for me years ago by my dear friend, Mary Anne! I was SO excited to use it in the scene! The Mardi Gras throne for King Rex and Queen Snowy is a remarkable little miniature I got at an estate sale; I think it is "Bespaq." The tiny details historical Mardi Gras painting was done by my wonderful friend, Mary Anne! The tiny liquor bottles are less than an inch tall, and the glass bar is . . .
well, it's really a glass bar, or a bar of glass! Don't know where I got that but I have had it for many years! You will see many gorgeous Mardi Gras "baubles" in the scenes from my dear friend, Jesse! Take a look at the grand world he is creating with his amazing miniatures! www.flickr.com/photos/40262251@N03/albums/72157715517132727/ He is SUCH magician with miniatures, who I love and admire. He is still teaching me SO much!)
