Back in 2013 on our way to Staunton, Virginia, I made sure to ride through Roanoke where I shot the famous rooftop signs among other landmarks. Unfortunately, I have not been back since. On a map, this view was shot from the intersecion of Williamson Road and Salem Avenue.

... that i saw this in a cartoon...something to do with a piano or an anvil ?

This was very bad!, and typical of the dreadful creations of Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart, and Associates, who designed it. I do not want this in my community.
