Even as a kid this house stood alone on 65th Street two doors down from State street. It's next door to a dump or something. There's some king of storage facility next to a junkyard. This house fascinated me then and it fascinates me now.

The parish was administered by the Province of the Most Pure Heart of Mary, Order of Carmelites and was the original location of the National Shrine of St. Therese (of Lisieux, France; "The Little Flower.")

The Window depicts the "Heraldic Achievement" (Coat of Arms) of Ancient Observance of the Carmelites and now hangs in the current National Shrine of St. Therese of , Darien, Illinois.
