Former West Bromwich Corporation 174, a 1952 Weymann bodied Daimler CVG6 is pictured on the 1930s section of the Black Country Museum at Dudley in the West Midlands.
Although the overhead remains in place, the Museum's trolleybuses have been out of use for about 5-years, along with the electric trams. Speaking to staff, there is no immediate prospect of their return although it has apparently been discussed. In the meantime, the Museum's collection of motorbuses provide transportation for visitors around the site. It's appears that 174 and the ex Midland Red D9 do the brunt of this work come rain or shine.
Having ridden on 174 and the BMMO D9, I have to say that the roadway around the Museum is in a poor state along several stretches, and these vintage buses take quite a jolting.
