In downtown Grand Rapids at the Rosa Parks Circle there were speeches, signs, and shouts of encouragement and protest for the hundreds of people gathered there.

Since the front message is facing the stage where speakers take turns at the mic, it is hard to know what the sign maker chose to display to other citizens who see the front. But the back side is visible, "We will not save America by asking nicely." Stated another way, "shouting and demanding different behavior" of federal appointed and elected officials is what the current situation requires, according to the sign maker at the March 8, 2025 women's march in downtown Grand Rapids.
