I fiori compaiono in primavera perché le piante percepiscono che fa più caldo. Tuttavia, non è sufficiente che faccia caldo un momento per fare comparire i fiori. Altrimenti, i fiori potrebbero arrivere già durante una bella giornata d'inverno, e poi coneglare subito appena le temperature scendono. Per capire meglio se la primavera è davvero iniziata, alcune piante hanno una specie di contatore interno. Questo permette loro di contare il numero di giorni caldi e così capire se la primavera è già iniziata o se è ancora troppo presto per fiorire.

THE TREE IN FLOWERING
The flowers appear in spring because the plants sense that it is warmer. However, it is not enough for it to be hot for a moment for the flowers to appear. Otherwise, the flowers could arrive on a beautiful winter day, and then immediately come together as soon as the temperatures drop. To better understand if spring has really begun, some plants have a kind of internal counter. This allows them to count the number of warm days and thus understand whether spring has already begun or whether it is still too early to flower.
