It's been a while since I've posted a train photo let alone taken one. As I was driving along Airport Way tonight after taking a couple of aviation pics which I'll share later, I was coming up the end of it and happened to see one of the ten newly painted 25th Anniversary BNSF Railway heritage sitting in one of the engine storage tracks at South Seattle yard.

I quickly did a lap around to pull off to the shoulder to grab a couple of photos of it. I was unaware however that it had a crew on it and it was going to end up puling out to head back down one of the military storage tracks to attach the consist to a train. While I wish we would see some full heritage paints on some motors, it was still cool to capture one as I've passed several of them between Seattle and Portland while working.

BNSF 6075 shoves on the rear of a southbound coal train as it climbs the grade in Greenland, CO.

That big mountain back there is Pikes Peak, and I was hoping I would get a shot of it before all the snow was gone for the season. I love the Spring contrast with things greening up along the front range while snow still clings to the bigger peaks.
