All Saints Church

All Saints Church is located in the grounds of the National Trust property of Hinton Ampner House near Bramdean in Hampshire.

The current church dates mainly from the 13th century but incorporates some features dating back to the Norman Conquest in the 11th century. It also has 19th century alterations and inside there are many memorials to past generations and occupants of the estate.

The Church is a grade 2 listed building which gives it legal protection from major alterations or demolition without previous consent from the local authority - Winchester City Council.

Bramdean House Garden is a "plant lover's garden" in Hampshire covering 5 acres. The house itself dates back to the 1740s but the garden has been established since the 1940s by the present owner, Victoria Wakefield, and her mother. The garden is very diverse with rare and unusual plants from all over the world.

Bramdean House Garden is een “tuin voor plantenliefhebbers” in Hampshire en beslaat 5 hectare. Het huis zelf dateert uit de jaren 1740, maar de tuin is aangelegd sinds de jaren 1940 door de huidige eigenaresse, Victoria Wakefield, en haar moeder. De tuin is zeer divers met zeldzame en ongewone planten van over de hele wereld.

Hinton Ampner House

This is my first upload for 2024 so can I begin by wishing all of my Flickr fiends a Happy New Year. I hope it will be better than the one we are leaving behind but only time will tell!

This photograph shows the end elevation of Hinton Ampner House a National Trust property near Bramdean in Hampshire. The house dates from 1793 and was the home of the Dutton family. The last owner, Ralph Dutton, had no heirs when he died in 1985 so passed it to the National Trust.

The property is a grade 2 listed building which gives it legal protection from demolition or major alterations without prior approval from the local authority – Winchester Council.

Hinton Ampner House

Taken on a recent a recent visit to Hinton Ampner, a National Trust property near Bramdean in Hampshire.

The property dates from 1793 and was the home of the Dutton family. The last owner, Ralph Dutton, had no heirs when he died in 1985 so passed it to the National Trust. This is the south side of the house which has superb views over the South Downs countryside.

The house is a grade 2 listed building which gives it legal protection from demolition or major alterations without prior approval from the local authority – Winchester Council.

The property is open to the public.
