Story
Mushrooms also like to mix!
The proof is in this aging amethyst laccaria, which covers two young mycenae with helmets with a paternal caress.
The undergrowth behind my house is a magical place. I feel as if I've stepped into another world, that of elves and fairies.
I'm particularly fond of autumn, those suspended moments when the light is magical. That's when I meet my favorite creatures, the living magicians that are mushrooms.
Description
I centered the mycenae in the middle to accentuate the effect of movement of the laccaria to its left.
Full aperture gave me a silky bokeh, and I increased the exposure time to keep sensitivity to a minimum.
Shot freehand in natural light, manual exposure.

A close-up look at a flower of Dendrobium ‘Berry Oda’. This showy orchid hybrid develop several stalks each could bear between up to 10-12 fragrant purple flowers. The name Dendrobium originates from the Greek words ‘dendron’ and ‘bios’ meaning ‘tree’ and ‘life’, respectively, with reference that many native species of this genus live on trees.
Dendrobium ‘Berry Oda’ is a hybrid between Dendrobium kingianum and Dendrobium ‘Mini Pearl’. The latter is in turn a cross between two species, D. canaliculatum and D. bigibbum. All three native parents grow in various regions of Australia and New Guinea. Dendrobium ‘Berry Oda’ is a popular hybrid and is around over 40 years since first registered with the RHS by M. Oda in 1983. Bath, BANES, England, UK.
