Top Of The Falls

Another shot of one of my favourite waterfalls, the Glenbranter Waterfall, which has its own trail named after it. To get this shot I had to sneak my drone through the gaps between trees and boulders. I almost crashed the drone when 3 tourists appeared at my side while I was concentrating on flying it. As the location was quite remote, and technically closed due to storm damage, I got quite a fright!

This is a view of the waterfall that you can only get using a drone. Using a telephoto lens would not give you this view due to the height of the waterfall and the angle of the camera.

Boiling River

A long exposure of a turbulent river in spate makes it look like it was boiling.

Silhouette Tree

This is a shot I've wanted to get for a while, but every time there was a low mist on the loch I was never in a position to take the shot ... until this weekend. It was a difficult shot to crop as everything I tried seemed to have an unbalanced feel to it due to the shape of the tree and the misbalance in the number and positioning of the rocks, so in the end I just went for "tree centre" as the lesser of 2 evils. I think it works.
