Montréal, 31 août 1988.
Habitat: dans une mare en voie d’assèchement, sur sol argileux, à l'orée d'une érablière noire à tilleul, avec ostryer, charme, caryer, etc.

J’ai décrit la récolte au complet en 1988, le jour de la récolte, mais comme je n’avais pas beaucoup d’expérience à l’époque, je ne reproduis ici que les caractères distinctifs.

Chapeau rimeux, jaune paille à jaune olivâtre, atteignant 74 mm de diamètre.
Pied égal, atteignant 85 x 7 mm, non bulbeux, non pruineux y compris à l’apex.

Odeur désagréable, plus ou moins spermatique ou de maïs vert.
Pleurocystides absentes. Marge stérile composée de cellules clavées, à paroi mince et non muriquées.
Spores ellipsoïdes-phaséoliformes, 9-13 x 5,5-7 µm.

Espèce très commune longtemps nommée Inocybe rimosa ou I. fastigiata en Amérique du Nord. Il semble préférable d'utiliser le taxon décrit par Peck suivant Matheny (2022).
