Merry Christmas Mine Hill is part of the Pendarvis State Historic Site in Mineral Point. Pendarvis contains historical structures, artifacts and educational features that focus on the lead and zinc mining history of the area.

Hypericum perforatum is in the Hypericaceae family (also known as the St. John's wort family) and the Malpighiales order. Originally native to Eurasia and North Africa, it has spread worldwide. Considered a weed or invasive in some areas.

Since we're on the topic of romantic sunrises and sunsets, I'm going to continue this now and publish the last shot in a series that I did back in June already.
Here you see a sunset near my house, of which you should already know two or three other perspectives (if you are careful observers).
Here I tried to capture the biodiversity in this wildflower meadow in one picture.
In addition to the chamomile that fills the entire background, you will also find amber (yellow), a blueweed flower (blue) and a few mallow flowers (white) at the bottom left.
I really like colorful mixed meadows like this. There's something for everyone.

Weil wir gerade bei romantischen Sonnenauf- und -untergängen sind, werde ich das jetzt mal fortsetzen und die letzte Aufnahme einer Serie veröffentlichen, die ich schon im Juni gemacht habe.
Ihr seht hier einen Sonnenuntergang, in der Nähe meines Hauses, von dem Ihr schon zwei oder drei andere Perspekitiven kennen müsstet (wenn Ihr aufmerksame Beobachter seid).
Hier habe ich versucht die Artenvielfalt auf dieser Wildblumenwiese einmal in einem Bild zu erfassen.
Neben der Kamille, die den ganzen Hintergrund ausfüllt findet Ihr noch Echtes Johanniskraut (Gelb), eine Blüte vom gewöhnlichen Natternkopf (blau) und unten links ein paar Blüten einer Malve (weiß).
Ich mag solche bunt gemischten Wiesen sehr. Da ist doch für jeden was dabei.
