Illuminated indifference
When night falls, the light from the parvis illuminates his solitude. In the midst of the shadows, he remains there, motionless, almost invisible, under the cold glare of the streetlamps. Around him, silhouettes stand out, indifferent to his presence. A world that goes on, without a glance, without a word. The light reveals contrasts, but does not warm souls.
Indifférence éclairée
Quand la nuit tombe, la lumière du parvis éclaire sa solitude. Au milieu des ombres, il reste là, immobile, presque invisible, sous les éclats froids des réverbères. Autour de lui, les silhouettes se détachent, indifférentes à sa présence. Un monde qui continue, sans un regard, sans un mot. La lumière révèle les contrastes, mais ne réchauffe pas les âmes.
In this image taken in Prague in August 2009, under scorching heat and heavy humidity, two stories unfold: the kiss of a couple lost in their own world and the focus of a traveler absorbed in her camera. The scene captures the essence of the city: romantic and vibrant, yet introspective. It serves as a reminder that every visitor discovers their own narrative within the historic streets of this unique destination.

Happy to report that I escaped unscathed from Storm Jocelyn too. I had planned to go down to the beach today to capture some of the post-Isha/Jocelyn impact but I am in agony with back pain again after the most innocuous of actions. It seems the stars are conspiring against me picking my camera up for the second time this month. I will not be deterred.
