The moldmade terracotta revetment plaques from Velletri are one of the defining groups of the so-called "Veio-Roma-Velletri" (or "Roma-Veio-Velletri") decorative system used to decorate monumental structures at those three sites and others in the region in the third quarter of the 6th c. BCE.

This particular plaque has been cut at an angle at its right edge, indicating its position at the top of the front or rear pediment of the temple; it would have been placed next to a similar plaque cut along its left edge.
