The Kanzelbrücke - one of the most beautiful stone bridges in Germany
The Kanzelbrücke stretches across the Möhnesee in the estuary of the Möhne. Built in 1912, it is one of the oldest bridges in the region and is considered one of the most beautiful stone bridges in Germany. The design of the bridge is based on traditional German river bridges.
It owes its name to the striking pillars, which are reminiscent of church pulpits. The picturesque bridge has five arches, measures around 60 meters in length and was built from greywacke and sandstone.
